2023 Victory Ride to Cure Cancer

Our Story

For the past several years, Duke Cancer Institute team riders have supported the V Foundation’s Victory Ride To Cure Cancer. Together, we raised over $84,000, making Team DCI one of the event’s top fundraising teams. We are now gearing up for the 2023 Victory Ride and ask you to please join our quest to fund breakthrough cancer research. Currently, the V Foundation has funded over $12 million in research grants at Duke. The foundation’s cycling event is helping to propel cancer research in our state, and beyond. Choose one of the following ways to support our team:

  • Ride with us at the Victory Ride to Cure Cancer event at Knightdale Station Park on May 20, 2023.
  • Register as a virtual rider and ride wherever works best for you! Whether it’s an adventurous new route, a ride on your stationary bike, or a loop around your neighborhood, your participation will benefit cancer research.
  • Support our efforts by making a tax-deductible donation today. Please choose one of the riders from our team list and donate through their personal fundraising page. 100% of your donation goes to lifesaving cancer research.

When we cross the finish line on May 20, with you on our team, we'll be closer to the bigger finish line: Victory Over Cancer®.

About the V Foundation

The V Foundation for Cancer Research was founded by ESPN and legendary basketball coach Jim Valvano with one goal in mind: to achieve Victory Over Cancer®. The V Foundation has awarded over $310 million nationwide to cancer research and is one of the premier supporters of cutting-edge cancer research.

The Victory Ride is managed by Don't Ever Give Up, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable supporting organization formed by and operated exclusively for the benefit of the V Foundation.

Inspired by Jim Valvano's enduring legacy of passion and courage, we will never give up until we achieve Victory Over Cancer®.
